Eligibility for these programs is determined through our Coordinated Intake Screening. CLICK HERE to see how the process works.

Coordinated Intake Screening

Coordinated Intake for homeless services ensures that all people experiencing a housing crisis have fair and equal access and are quickly identified, assessed for, referred, and connected to housing and assistance based on their needs. Those needing services will be prioritized based on the outcome of their needs assessment completed at the time of intake.

WALK-IN SCREENINGS Monday – Thursday 8:30AM-12:00PM and Fridays 10:00AM-12:00PM
Access to shelter is prioritized for those with the greatest need based on standards set by the Federal Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).

Homeless Shelters

HSP operates three year-round Emergency Shelters to accommodate the needs of homeless men, women, and families.

Safe Haven Shelter

This shelter serves adult men and women who are homeless and suffer from a chronic mental illness.

Case Management Services

Case management is a collaborative process that assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the options and services required to meet the client’s health and human service needs. It is characterized by advocacy, communication, and resource management and promotes quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes.

All residents in our shelters and participants in our housing programs receive case management services. Additionally, case management is provided to those on our shelter waiting list to help them improve their situation until a bed opens in a shelter.
